A 83-01은 같은 ALK5 억제제인 SB 431542 보다 더 강력합니다. A 82-01은 TGFb에 의한 상피세포의 중간엽으로의 전환 (epithelial-to-mesenchymal transfition) 및 Smad 신호전달을 저해하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
