Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate(PMA)는 phorbol의 diester 형태로, 신호 전달 효소인 protein kinase C(PKC)를 활성화합니다. Tumor promoter 이며, B 세포의 분열을 촉진합니다. Ionomycin함께 PMA는 많은 유형의 세포들의 활성화를 유도하여 사이토카인을 생성하게 합니다.
