37.51 단일클론항체는 45kDa의 동종이합체(homodimer)인 생쥐의 CD28 분자와 특이적으로 반응합니다. CD28은 대부분의 흉선세포 및 자연살해세포에서 발현되며, 말초의 CD4+ CD8+ T 림프구에서는 낮은 밀도로 발현됩니다. 또한 활성화된 비장 세포, 비만 세포 및 흉선 세포에서도 발견됩니다. CD28은 T 림프구의 공동자극제이자 CD80(B7-1) 및 CD86(B7-2)에 대한 리간드입니다. CD28 신호전달은 IL-2 및 IL-2 수용체의 발현과 CD3-활성화된 T 림프구의 세포독성을 자극합니다.
